How to Impress Parking Valets at Anime Expo

For all you anime nerds (okay fine, otaku) there's an aftermarket kit made by Saitaniya for the Honda Fusion that makes your speedy scooter look just like Kaneda's bike from Akira.

You can buy the barebones kit for around $6,000, a pre-assembled Fusion for around $11,000, or a special edition Fusion complete with decals and battle scars for $14,000.

The caveat is that this is not an officially licensed product, so all the specifications are still a bit off from the original manga/anime in order to avoid legal issues. However, Saitaniya's trying to win an endorsement from Akira rights-holder Kodansha. If that happens you can look forward to a perfectly exact replica that'll shut up that one nerd (you know, the one with long greasy hair and a patchy beard, holding a newly bought anime vocal themes album in one hand, Nacho Cheesier Doritos bag in the other, wearing a burrito-stained Dream Theater shirt or something like that...) at the convention who really wanted to make a snide remark about your bike's inaccuracy -- and he knows 'cause he's read through the Akira encyclopedia 500 times. I guess he could still point out that your Fusion doesn't actually hit 12,000 rpms or something...
