Kobe: No Air Apparent?

ESPN's Skip Bayless has posted a rather harsh comparison of Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan, pointing out Bryant's continual failure to match the presence and demeanor of the basketball god he so desperately wants to be like. It would sure seem that Bayless is right in his accusations; he even serves us an honest reminder that Jordan was no saint himself but knew how to keep his personal character and his public image separate things. Needless to say, everything that Bryant's done in the past year -- both on and off the court -- has made me more and more ashamed that I paid $65 for his jersey back in 2001. I can only hope that Kobe wakes up from his manifold delusion someday, and someday soon.
