ESPN Lists Best and Worst of NBA

Marty Burns at ESPN posted an NBA article listing the best and worst of the league in 2004. It's a pretty good list, but where is Grant Hill? I just hope that Burns' omission was intentionally made because he didn't want to jinx a good thing going. But c'mon, if there was one thing about the NBA this year that made me happy to still call myself a basketball fan, it was definitely the comeback of one Mr. Grant Hill. Have you seen him out on the court? The guy's grinning like a little kid after every big shot he hits. It's like even he can't believe that he's back...

At least another ESPN'er, Marc Stein, had the goodness to honor Hill in his first trimester awards. The guy's nearly playing at an All-Star level and he's not even close to getting back that comfortableness that comes with being out on the court everyday. Don't forget that Hill hasn't played a full season (barely even a half season) in years after undergoing four ankle surgeries -- I think that by the end of the season he could very well reclaim his spot as one of the top 10 players in the league. But this month is a crucial one to watch: all of Hill's surgeries have come in the month of January. Even with that in mind, I'm just going to say this anyway... Welcome back, Grant.
