Film Quick Review: Mighty Aphrodite

Another typical Woody Allen entry into his filmography, quick-witted, snappy dialogue brisks along with madcap situations, as Allen's character loses interest in his marriage and becomes obsessed with finding and romancing the biological mother of his adopted son, who he quickly discovers is an airheaded prostitute. All the while, the movie splices in silly (but mostly fun) scenes from classical Greek drama as a running commentary on the main story which itself parodies conventions of Greek tragedy.

Score: 7.0
