Mars ILL Hits Pirate Radio

Dust of Mars ILL has just announced a bit of bad news: the duo's third LP, ProPain, has been delayed until June. Yeah, let your groans out now... But it's for a good reason! Gotee Records believes that their marketing department can better promote the album during the summer months than early spring. Hey, if there's anything that Mars ILL lacks, it's strong promotion backing them. I'm absolutely incredulous to the fact that these guys are still overlooked by anyone who calls himself/herself a hip-hop fan. These are a couple of the best music artists and all-around nice guys you could ever find, bar none.

Now here's some good news: Just to prove my point, Mars ILL has gone and decided that this latest delay on ProPain has warranted an apology to fans in the form of a stopgap CD. On December 20, a new indie release (akin to Sound Methods) will be ship out, appropriately titled Pirate Radio. It will have 13 all-new tracks plus one favorite, "You Can't Stop," that's been floating around on various compilations. That's practically another LP! I don't know how they do it, but they do it nonetheless. See what I mean? Mars ILL really are a couple of all-around nice guys.

Wait, there's more. The duo's decided that Pirate Radio just isn't enough. As a Christmas bonus, they're reprinting the 2.0 version of their much-sought-after Sound Methods CD, which was a collection of rarities and B-sides sold only at concerts. Now how nice is that? People just keep asking and asking and asking about this CD even though it's long been out of print. Well, folks, here it is again, get it while you can. I'm definitely picking up a copy to sit alongside my first edition Sound Methods.

Pirate Radio and Sound Methods 2.0 are being sold for $15 apiece, shipping charges included. Send money through Paypal to dustwaterwindfire@comcast.net with a note on which items you want. (There's a limit of 5 units per CD per customer.) You can also send a money order or check to: Nate Corrona/Mars ILL, 4119 Indian Creek Circle, Stone Mountain, GA 30083. Both printings are very limited, so I hope you all get your orders in on time before supplies run out!
